Hadley
XWPVS EZ-Board Forum Administrator

The XWPVS was the brainchild of Hadley Langosy

It made its internet debut on Monday September 24th, 8:00 p.m. EST with its first episode Honor Bound. Since its inception, a number of team members have come and gone, including two very talented web masters. Bezalel and Nando.

Due to an extremely hectic schedule Hadley has turned control of the Virtual Season over to MacavityCat.She has maintained close contact and still manages the xwpvs forum. During the first season of the  XWPVS, Hadley wrote several of the VS-7 episodes.

You will be introduced to the entire team, from production staff to illustrators, and everyone in-between.

Meet the Production Team
The production managers number four. Each has one or more tasks they have to perform in order to produce the quality of material you view each week. They each have full time jobs ranging from law enforcement to owning their own business. And running the Virtual Season is like another job, because it is a lot of work.
MacavityCat

Her duties also include assigning beta readers scripts, providing deadlines, relaying the comments and suggestions to the writers in regards to their script. She is also one of the teams writers.

Kathy Austin
Art Director
Kathy joined the XWPVS as an illustrator at the beginning of the season. She had submitted an illustration for the fan art page, and of course, we just HAD to grab her. Her dedication, artistic skills, and coordination abilities has earned her much acclaim. She has illustrated a number of episodes, both alone and with the assistance of several of our hard working illustrators on the illustration staff.

The Core Team

The Xena: Warrior Princess Virtual Season would be a blank page if it weren't for the numerous volunteers who  help the production managers. Along with the production managers, they must also read the manuscripts that come into the VS and make decisions on whether the submitted outline meets, not only our standards, but show a potential for being something the fans would enjoy. It often isn't an easy task because there are so many talented amatuer writers in the Xenaverse.  We'd like to introduce you to the Core Team, the Illustrators, the translators, and to our previous web designers.

41 Cyg
Reviewer/Research Analyst
41 Cyg was an honorary core team member up until very recently. His reviews onthe forum were tactful, insightful, and managed to convey to the writers the "What could have been."
He was inducted into the core team shortly after the holidays (2002) and has provided very good feedback. Due to his hectic schedule however, Cyg has retired from the team (1/2004) but will hopefully continue to provide insightful reviews.

Magenta
Writer/Point Person
Magenta also provides input, comments and suggestions to submitted outlines and manuscripts, which are relayed
to the various writers. She has written several well received XWPVS episodes and has been with the team since VS-7. Magenta's has two web pages, and you can view them at:
The Auryn and bvts. Magenta has had to resign from the xwpvs core team due to an extremely busy schedule. But will hopefully continue to submit story's and/or story ideas to the team.

Iris
Writer/Point Person
Otherwise known as the Liz Friedman of the xwpvs (Iris constantly reminds the team about "Xena and Gabrielle's relationship".) She is currently retired from the teams numerous responsibilities, but is still one of the team writers.

Heather
Writer/Point Person
Heather has been with the xwpvs since VS-7, but is currently retired from the xwpvs' full line of duties and responsibilities, in order to concentrate more on her writing.
A Fond Farewell
A Fond Farewell
Many Core Team Members have come and gone in the past several years, but we would still like to thank Melissa West, CNWinters, Karen Lines, Gina and Nando for participating.

We were sorry to lose Sharon "Scully" and Rich as illustrators this season, but the xwpvs team wishes them love and luck. We'd also like to let them know that they are missed.

The Illustrators/Art Team

Our illustrators are one of a kind. Each of them takes pride in what they do. Each illustration is hand sketched, drawn, colored in then scanned and sent to the art director, who also does her fair share of illustrations. The great thing about them is that they are a little family. They pull together when deadlines are tight. They advise us if they're unavailable to illustrate. They are, in a word professional. The only payment they receive is the gratitude of the team and the adulation of the fans for the great work they provide. Without their help, the scripts would be just words on a screen. They bring the words to life.
Amber:
Amber is too shy too supply her photo, but we thought you should know a little bit about her.

She hails from Austrailia and joined the VS Illustrators, if I'm not mistaken, around the Christmas holidays, or at the very least, shortly after.

She's a phenomenal talent who simply submitted her artwork to be placed on the Fan Art page. But her talent was so wonderful, we asked her to join the illustrator team.

Amber has helped her art sisters and brothers with her amazing renditions of the characters.

Blitzgal
This talented young woman takes the time from her busy schedule as an Analyst for an organization that performs character and fitness reports for wannabe lawyers (and taking the bar exams across the country) to provide the xwpvs with its teaser ads. She's been doing them since its debut on the internet two years ago.

Gina
This is her second year volunteering as an illustrator for the XWPVS ~ This talented artist has created exciting artwork for several episodes on both Season 7 & 8 (illustrating on her own & working in tandem with her talented team-mates). She enjoys creating Xena & Gabrielle & Eve art work, as well as Goddess, Faerie, fantasy & animal paintings. To see more of her cool artwork, please visit her at:
earth-spirits.com

Trish
Trish Ellis is a hard working Canadian artist who is finally going to realize her dreams as she's working diligently towards opening her airbrushing business in Bathurst, New Brunswick custom painting motorcycles, helmets, T-shirts as well as pencil drawings for those who like the classics. She's been with the VS for the past two years and has been a tremendous help to the team. If you would like to write to Trish, you can contact her at:
Trish

MaryCat
MaryCat submitted artwork to us for our Fan Art page. After seeng her work, we KNEW we had to have her. She joined us shortly after the Christmas holidays, saying she'd only be able to do an illustration here and there because of her busy schedule.
Well, now she's hooked. She's also been very helpful in the coding department, assisting us with html coding for the episodes as well. Her
illustrations made their debut in episode: 8.11 The Winter's Tale.
Slash:
Slash, also too shy to supply a photo,  hails from France and has been with the VS since season 7. Slash has illustrated a number of episodes on his own, the most recent being episode 8.9 Wolf's Bane.  He also designed the Teaser ad for that one.
This season, because we lost illustrators, and others had hectic schedules, Slash has assisted with various episodes where team work was essential in getting the script illustrated on time.

Vio
Vio joined the VS during season 7. She has provided numerous illustrations for a variety of virtual episodes. She's had to take an extended hiatus... not because we worked her to the bone, but because she added a new little Xenite to the Xenaverse.

Honorable Mentions

A number of other illustrators assisted the XWPVS during season one and I hope that I have the complete list of names because I do feel they deserve to be mentioned for the work they provided.

Rich, Sharon (Scully), Sal, Jen Tucker, Laura, Rellik, Hadley and of course, Hadley's sister, Zoe, who iillustrated "Honor Bound".

Bezalel
Bezalel (Zoe) hails from Greece. She is a graphic artist and designed the XWPVS season 7 web-site. She was also its webmaster, assisting Hadley and Ariel in coding the episodes. Of course work began to get hectic, and Zoe had to resign as web master.

Nando
Nando took over the coding of the website shortly after we lost our three main web masters, Bezalel, Ariel, and Hadley. He redesigned the site for the premiere of the Virtual Season 8. A talented young man who had to resign as web master due to college responsibilities and class projects.

The Translators

The French translators included Katell, Fryda and Fausta. Fausta, for the past several months has been translating the episodes on her own as real life situations have kept Katell and Fryda quite occupied.

The translators who have volunteered their time and energy into translating the 44 episodes (both seasons 7 and 8) that have been presented to the fans both in Spanish and in French deserve a round of applause. They've worked hard and often under crazy deadlines, especially when a script arrived late.

The Spanish translators all hail from  Xenacentro and it is my understanding that there were thirteen (13) translators in all.  Meet some of the Xenacentro staff:

The Beta Readers

Of course, we all know that none of the episodes that aired this season would have been possible if not for the assistance of the Beta Readers who proof-read our scripts. They helped with punctuation and grammar, offered up   invaluable comments and suggestions for our writers, and pointed out potential YAXI's.

And we know that often, they also worked under stringent deadlines, especially when a script arrived late.

Therefore, we would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to:
